I work from found and created photographs and this image in it's square composition caught my attention in the look of the woman's eyes. A look of strength that stares down the camera with an unperturbed glance in an underwater environment that would ordinarily test resilience. This contrasted against the feminine evening wear, pearls, gloves, long flowing red hair, and the softness of the water made me think that this image is a good reflection of feminine allure and strength. Contemporary art techniques combining action painting (expressionistic) and pop art lends itself well to the underwater world.
When looking for a backdrop to best display this piece it looked amazing and could honestly fit almost every possible scene so long as it could physically fit!
In this painting I've used professional quality artist acrylics and mediums. As with most of my paintings I personally mount it on an "inbuilt" frame and then paint the painting as the frame and board as one unit. As this is a large piece I recommend hanging it directly from the two D rings that I supply on the back of the painting, not from the wire. I recommend 2 hooks holding the painting directly to the wall.
